We’re excited to launch a suite of related features that let you build dynamic variant content in Plasmic:

  • You can run A/B tests showing different versions of your pages to different users, optionally integrate with experimentation platforms like Google Optimize, and analyze the results in your choice of analytics platform.

  • You can conditionally show different versions in different circumstances. This is helpful for personalization or targeting specific audiences such as returning shoppers, logged-in users, visitors on mobile, partners, etc.

  • You can schedule content so that it’s active only for certain hours or days.

Users have always been able to add variants in Plasmic for A/B testing or segmentation, but developers were responsible for dispatching the correct variant in different circumstances. With these new capabilities, following one-time code integration, Plasmic Studio users can simply point and click to directly launch experiments and define new conditions without incurring any incremental work on developers.

For custom targeting conditions, you can bring your own set of traits defined by your application code, such as whether the user is authenticated or whether they have previously purchased specific products.

Furthermore, because these are powered by Plasmic variants, this unlocks uniquely powerful capabilities—you can:

  • vary components as well as pages

  • have multiple overlapping experiments/variants on the same page/component

  • vary any set of pages/components together in the same experiment or target

  • vary only specific parts of a page/component

These features are available to all Growth plan users today. Check out the docs and let us know what you think!
