Shareable URLs, tabs components, slots in Figma importer
URL navigation in Plasmic Studio
Now when you are navigating to different pages, components, branches, and historical versions of your project, the URL will automatically update. This URL will take you directly to the place you’re looking at in the project.
So now you can simply share the URL with others to let them directly jump to the exact arena you were on, and things like refreshing the tab will land you back on the screen you were previously looking at.
Flexible tab components
You can now design completely bespoke tabs-like experiences. Just look for the “Flexible Tabs” component and insert it.
You can start with more run-of-the-mill tabs layouts:
But you can arrange and lay out the various parts of the tab however you want, and you can use any component as tabs, with different active state variants:
You can go further with nested tabs or making them bound to dynamic data. Play with it and let us know what you think!
Slots in Figma importer
The Figma importer can convert designs from Figma into the matching component (or even React code component) in Plasmic—this is a powerful ability to continuously sync from design to code.
The importer now supports the ability to convert parts of components into Plasmic slot contents.
If you name your Figma component layer "slot: children", then upon import, we will take whatever is inside that layer, and put it into the corresponding component slot named "children" in the Plasmic component.
And more
We had a temporary issue where users were unable to join our Slack community via the link at https://plasmic.app/slack—if you were previously unable to access the community, please give it another try!
Scheduled maintenance window: We have a planned 1-hour maintenance window with downtime Saturday Dec 3 6am UTC / Friday Dec 2 10pm Pacific, affecting Plasmic Studio and loader/codegen APIs. This will enable Plasmic to migrate to a platform offering greater reliability and security going forward.
