Shopify integration and Next.js Commerce
Shopify integration
Now available in the Plasmic component store: you can now directly drag and drop to insert Shopify product collections and details into your headless commerce website, such as those running on Next.js Commerce and Shopify Hydrogen!
Anyone can now build pages featuring dynamic product data from your store, arranged in any layout or design. You have building blocks for displaying product text fields (like name and description), price, and media; for selecting variants; for adding to cart; and more.
The data is statically or server-rendered, making for fast-loading experiences. This integration is powered by the great work in Next.js Commerce under the hood.
Shopify integration is available to all users including free users.
Storefronts are a category of web apps that have many demands, including rich designs, dynamic data, interactivity, and performance. We want to empower you to create full storefronts—and other demanding apps—visually, without sacrificing control with code. Stay tuned for much more!
Next.js Commerce tutorial and guide
We just published an in-depth guide to Next.js Commerce—how to use, navigate, and extend the codebase:
Next.js Commerce is ambitious. It uniquely unifies the commerce platforms under the same API. This makes it esp. interesting for agencies that work across platforms, and for brands that want to ease potential platform migrations (we've seen migrations happen multiple times!).
However, this normalized API also means a new abstraction layer to learn and deal with. Sometimes, the abstraction machinery can get a bit complex!
We wanted to share our learnings while we’ve been diving into the codebase and integrating Next.js Commerce into Plasmic.
